This SPRINT SWIMRUN competition requires endurance, swimming and running skills. In addition, you must be able to navigate in open water! Race legs are marked with officials and beach flags.
Sprint SwimRun offers adventures directly in the elements!
We have one food and beverage station along the way. Security is taken seriously and you are obliged too keep a max distance both in and out of water. 50 meters on land, and 10 in the water. There will be several boats and kayaks paying attention to all swimmers.
The start will go of at Bjerkoya in Sande. After the first race leg, you will swim from the mainland to Bjerkøya, and then run across the island. Secondly, you swim to the Killing island. This island is not huge, but offers fantastic race trails. The trip continues to Gåserumpa, which is one of the major recreation stops in Vestfold. At Gåserumpa will there be a short run before you swim on to Kommersøya. A unique island with great terrain and trails!
The course is though, but stunningly beautiful - and you will achieve a nature experience you will not forget! You will reach over rocks, through forest trails and swim with waves and currents. The race time is estimated at approximately two to four hours.
